Plans for The River Project 2012

October 19, 2011

Thanks to a great organizing committee and many generous donors, plans for The River Project 2012 are off to a great start!  Six fantastic sculptors have been selected for the year-long exhibit of original site-specific work, which is scheduled to open at the Slocum’s River Reserve on June 16, 2012.  Moreover, similar to the 2009 River Project, the nearby the Gustin Gallery will be concurrently exhibiting drawings, sketchbooks, models and other preparatory work created by the six sculptors. Plans are also in the works for a number of special events focused on The River Project, including an opening reception, artist lectures, artist walks, school field trips, and more.

The six artists are for The River Project 2012 are: Elizabeth Dooher (New Bedford, MA), Mary Frank (Brinklow, MD), Bryan Nash Gill (New Hartford, CT), Danielle Krcmar (Sommerville, MA), Ron Rudnicki (East Freetown, MA) and Steve Whittlesey (West Barnstable, MA).
